Natracare tampons are made from only certified organic 100% cotton.

They are non-chlorine bleached and women can be reassured that they do not contain synthetic materials, such as rayon, or chemical additives such as binders or surfactants.

Certified organic cotton removes the risk of direct exposure to residues from chemical pesticides and fertilisers used on traditional cotton.

Dioxin ( a toxic carcinogen) is a by-product of all chlorine bleaching methods. Dioxin has been found to accumulate in the fatty tissues of animals and humans and is of concern for all women. Research shows that exposure even to low levels of dioxins may be linked to cancer, endometriosis and immune system suppression. Taking into account that a woman may use as many as 11,000 tampons in her lifetime, the dioxin exposure may be quite substantial.

The applicators have a rounded, petal-shaped end that makes inserting the tampon easier and more comfortable.

The applicator is made from biodegradable card and the tampons are individually wrapped.
