Made with organic virgin cocoa butter - produced without the use of harsh chemicals. Because it is virgin & unrefined, it retains all its natural healing qualities. We have simply enriched it with the goodness of other great oils to help restore & balance dry or inflamed skin. We use unrefined & unfiltered african cocoa butter in all products - please note some grit is occasionally found in this type of cocoa butter.
What Can I Use It For?
* This creamy cocoa butter blend is a fantastic moisturiser for hands, body or even feet (don't forget to put some socks on)
* It is also excellent as a an alternative nappy balm for babies or body moisturiser for sensitive little souls (no essential oils)
* It makes a truly natural 'butter for the bump' for mums-to-be too, as it can help keep skin on the tummy nourished to prevent stretch marks. (I went through 4 tubes of Palmers Cocoa Butter during each pregnancy, and I got away with it. So I personally swear on cocoa butter for this purpose. And, no, it isn't genetic - my mum wasn't lucky at all!. Though thinking about the brand I used, believe me, this butter is so much more nourishing, because it contains over 45% pure cocoa butter, no synthetic fillers, preservatives & no water whatsoever)
And What Exactly's So Good About Cocoa Butter?
Cocoa butter is pressed from roasted cocoa beans & it is naturally light to medium yellow in colour. Being unrefined, our virgin cocoa butter has a distinct smell of cocoa too. Cocoa butter has been used in highstreet cosmetics for many many years, because of its antioxidant properties & high vitamin E content. Amongst vital vitamins, cocoa butter also contains the polyphenol CMP, which has been found to suppress active oxygen, a factor in cancer, and to inhibit the production of an immuno globulin that exacerbates topical dermatitis.
Unrefined or Virgin Cocoa butter is not only jam-packed with all this goodness, but it also retains its wonderfully delicous cocoa scent. Traditionally used by African women, cocoa butter helps keep the skin healthy, smooth & elastic.
How Best to Apply The Cocoa Butter?
Our cocoa butter blend is a very rich butter. Depending on temperature, it can be a little hard to start off with, but simply take a small amount, let it melt in your hands, apply to skin and enjoy its rich natural scent. For best results, apply on your skin straight after a hot bath or a shower & enjoy its buttery consistency soak in quickly.
Please keep cool & away from direct sunlight, as warm temperature can make this product melt. Best not ordered during spells of hot weather as we are not able to protect during transit.
